The Crf-E2 stands out with its unique features and strengths. Designed as a lightweight field utility scooter for teenagers, it surpasses conventional gasoline off-road vehicles in terms of safety and lightness. Weighing just 48 kg, with a 6 kg battery module that can be replaced in two minutes, the Crf-E2 offers a three-gear speed mode and a complex gear shift structure. These features prevent misoperation, enhance driving safety, and facilitate the acquisition of driving skills.
The Crf-E2's realization is a testament to meticulous design and engineering. The frame is constructed from Alcoa-6000 high-strength aluminum alloy, undergoing a rigorous process of forging, machining, profiling, and argon arc welding. The battery assembly is equally intricate, involving sorting and grouping, automatic welding, semi-finished product assembly, aging tests, PACK detection, and PACK packaging.
With dimensions of 1450*910*270mm, the Crf-E2 is tagged as ultra-lightweight, strong endurance capacity, convenient, off-road, and suitable for teenagers. The design team, led by Zhu Fanhui, has ensured that the Crf-E2 offers an interactive experience that is both user-friendly and enjoyable. The ultra-lightweight frame, battery-powered dynamic system, double shock absorbers, and complex gear shift structure all contribute to a superior driving experience.
The Crf-E2 project was launched in Los Angeles, USA, in May 2018 and completed in Dongguan, China, in October 2021. It is set to hold a press conference in Los Angeles, USA, in March 2022. The design is backed by research showing that over 70% of teenagers prefer to spend their leisure time at home, a trend that could negatively impact their physical and mental health. The Crf-E2 offers a fun and healthy outdoor activity for teenagers, promoting stress relief, fitness, and balance.
Despite challenges such as frame fractures due to the original vehicle model's inadequate shock absorption for cross-country racing, the design team successfully overcame these obstacles. The Crf-E2's design excellence has been recognized with a Silver A' Vehicle, Mobility and Transportation Design Award in 2022, a prestigious accolade awarded to designs that demonstrate outstanding expertise and innovation.
